How-To: Flawless Glue-On Nails

Achieving a flawless look with glue-on nails not only makes them look better, but they will last longer as well. Uneven gluing causes bubbles to form under the nails which can lead to them popping off prematurely.

Since Halloween nails are starting to pop up already, I am going to use a black French tip nail today from Cala and finish it off with some Halloween nail art.

This kit comes with 24 nails, pink nail glue, a mini nail file and a manicure stick.

Start off by gently roughening up the nail beds with the file. This will help the nail stick better and your manicure last longer. Once they are all slightly roughened up, wash your hands with soap to remove the dust from the file and any oils that are on the nails.

Use the angled side of the manicure stick to gently push back the cuticles.

Apply a generous amount of nail glue to the entire back of the artificial nail.

Also apply a generous amount of nail glue to your natural nail.

Place the artificial nail at the cuticle end of your nail and pivot it down onto your nail. This will help to push any bubbles out from under the nail. Apply gentle pressure and hold the nail down for at least 30 seconds. Any excess glue can be wiped away with a paper towel.

Your beautiful nails should last you 7-10 days! You can apply a clear polish or spice it up a little with some nail art.

To apply your nail art, simply bend the backing away from the art and use your manicure stick to pick it up.

Apply to your nail and smooth it down. A coat of clear polish will keep it locked on.
